One of the cosmetic gynaecology procedures we provide at MAS Gynaecology is THERMIva. An exhilarating and non-surgical treatment it, like the entire range of processes we offer, has changed the confidence and outlook of many women.

What is THERMIva?

As mentioned above, this is an innovative, non-surgical treatment and it has been designed to rejuvenate and tighten the vaginal area.

THERMIva uses a temperature-controlled radio frequency system. This system is then used to revitalise tissue via the THERMIva hand piece which was created to provide patients with complete comfort throughout.

The hand piece has a metal tip which is the active part of the device. It is heated and used on the relevant tissue. This controlled, safe heat stimulates new collagen production in the tissues and cells that are part of a woman’s pelvic organs. It can be used both internally and externally and despite being a heat-based treatment it is incredibly safe for the patient.

The procedure is ideal for any woman hoping to regain the body they have prior to childbirth or from when they were younger and normally they will undergo three THERMIva treatments to feel the full benefits. However, usually women will begin to feel the benefits following just a single appointment with us here at MAS. These benefits can be seen in further detail below.

THERMIva Benefits

There are various benefits related to both general health and sexual health when it comes to undergoing gynaecological treatment using THERMIva. Below see just a few of these:

  • Tightening of the Vagina – THERMIva works to tighten and tone the tissue around the vaginal area which has become stretched or loose due to childbirth or age. This can also be applied to the labia majora.
  • Improved Libido – Because THERMIva tightens the muscles and tissues in and around the vagina, women who have undergone a course of treatments using this method have been known to experience heightened sexual drive as improved sexual stimulation and satisfaction during intercourse.
  • Reduced Urinary Incontinence – There are several types of incontinence. Again, a problem that usually affects women following childbirth, with THERMIva they can achieve strengthened and enhanced muscular coordination around the bladder with this treatment. Leading to alleviate instances of urinary incontinence.
  • Quick Treatment Time – Whatever the issue of the individual THERMIva is being used to treat, each woman can begin to benefit following their first 30-minute appointment. Also, due to the short treatment time, it is simpler for patients to fit an appointment into their schedule.
  • Safety and Downtime – As previously mentioned, despite the use of heat as part of the treatment it is completely safe. It does not involve surgery and no stitches are required afterwards.
